Beauty without breaking the bank

I was recently lucky enough to receive a handful of products from Essence Cosmetics ( Thank you Essence!! )

I have picked up a few of their products in the past and have always been happy with them. If you are unfamiliar with their products, they are found in Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmaprix & Loblaws. The company started in Germany and after quickly becoming number one, decided to take their products to the US and finally into Canada. They are dedicated to providing great quality products at affordable prices. When I say affordable, I mean $2.99 for a lipstick and $4.99 foundation.

Check out some of the great items they have to offer.

They recently launched BB Beauty Balm Lipgloss. These retail for $3.49 and are available in 5 shades.

I was sent the shade Flirtylicious. A Raspberry tone that sets as almost a wet stain on the lips. They are super hydrating, as they are Enriched with vitamin E and Shea Butter.

I love the way this feels on the lips. It is super comfortable and not sticky at all. Gives the lips a very glossy wash of colour.

Prettifying Lip Oil

These provide a super high gloss finish with a subtle wash of color. They contain jojoba oil for maximum hydration. Available in three shades. These come with a doe foot applicator for easy application.

Seen below is 02.First Help Pinky. A Berry tone, that tints the lips with a soft tint of pink

$2.99 each.

Forbidden Volume Mascara

This mascara is super black and provides a ton of volume and length. I have been wearing this all week and I love the way it looks. It gives my lashes a lot of length and makes them look really full. It's a steal at $3.99, and I've honestly not been this happy with a mascara in quite some time.

Mosaic Powder

Made up of a combination of translucent shades. It is designed to dust all over the face to even out the skin tone, or Provide a light contour and a natural glow.

The powder is super light weight. I find it a little light to contour with, but it does create a nice natural glow on the skin. I use it to warm up the skin slightly, or concentrate my brush on the lighter areas for a subtle highlight.

$4.49

Long Lasting Lipstick

$2.99 for a long lasting lipstick?! I quite like the formula of these lipsticks. I have not worn it around enough to attest to the longevity but they are super creamy and quite pigmented.

Below is Poppy Pink. A beautiful pastel pink tone.
