Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil
Its finally here !
Biossance is available at Sephora Canada and we're all really excited about it.
I recently purchased the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, a luxury facial oil packed with Vitamin C and Rose Oil. It is said to brighten the skin and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Most importantly it contains sugarcane-derived, sustainable squalane oil.
What is Squalane you may ask?
Well, our bodies produce its very own version of Squalane known as squalene. The amount we produce and that is retained in the skin decreases as we age.
Squalene is part of our skin’s own natural moisture. It is also found in a variety of plants and Shark Liver ( oddly enough ). When Squalene is hydrogenated it converts to skin-friendlier and safer for use, Squalane.
So while Plants and Shark liver are not ideal ways of producing the product, it needed to be created.
" Our squalane comes from 100% plant-based, renewable sugarcane, then bio-fermented to create a beautiful end result—highly stable, totally sustainable squalane. Every drop of squalane in our products is derived in this eco-friendly way ".
And our skin Thanks you. A game changer when it comes to combating hydration issues and the greatest source of moisture.
I have been using this for a couple weeks now and my skin looks amazing. I have dry skin, if you follow along at all you know that. I can never seem to combat that issue, and is always something that I'm dealing with. This facial oil is incredible. Not only does my skin look brighter, and more radiant but it is less dry than I can ever remember it being. I have been applying this in the evening before I go to bed and my skin feels amazing when I wake up in the morning. It has a very mild smell and the consistency is really nice. It is also great for all skin types.
I have a few sun spots and a bit of Melasma and I already feel like it has reduced slightly just with the few weeks of using this.
If applied in the morning, I would suggest allowing for maximum absorption time before applying your makeup. I found because it is so hydrating it caused my foundation to slip if I went it right away after applying the oil.
It comes with a heftier price tag, $90 / 30 ml. But skin care is no joke folks, I think it's worth every penny.
