Glowing Summer Skin.
We all love that sun kissed skin, amirite ?
I long for a Golden glow, without the long term effect or added ( and I stress added ) damage to my skin. I thought I would round up a few of my go-to products for achieving that summer golden glow!
Lets get right to it, shall we.
ST TROPEZ One Night Only
I started using this about a year ago. I was on the hunt for a self tanner but one that offered a really naturally looking tan and nothing super high maintenance. I discovered the St. Tropez One Night Only Wash Off Face and Body Lotion. This seemed super easy to use and If I hated it, I loved that it was just temporary. It's a 24 hour tanner that you apply and rapidly fades after you wash it off. I love St. Tropez products and have always enjoyed using them. This was relatively inexpensive, especially considering I likely wouldn't use it daily. I apply the tanner with my hands, although I do believe that there is a mitt that you can purchase along with the lotion.
It washes off well, I don't find it transfers and the tone is quite natural looking. It doesn't apply to dark and it doesn't have any type of Orange tint to it.
I typically apply this after my morning skin care as a base for the rest of my products.
L'OREAL LUMI GLOTION
I follow up my St. Tropez Tanner with the L'Oreal Lumi Glotion in shade 902. I love this product so much. It adds the most beautiful glow to the skin. It is not over powering and the luminosity is just so pretty. You can apply this all over the face, or mix it in with other products. I love the look of glowing skin and this does just that, in a really beautiful way. It also feels super moisturizing on the skin, which is an added bonus .
TARTE COSMETICS TARTEGUARD TINTED MOISTURIZER
After I apply the Loreal Lumi Glotion I follow up with a tinted moisturizer, or just a concealer. This is really depicted by the condition of my skin a the time. If I go in with a tinted moisturizer, I tend to use the Tarte Cosmetics Tarteguard. I really love it. It has just enough coverage. Its like a step up from the Glossier Skin Tint. The Tarteguard offers just enough to even out the skintone and reduce any of my skins redness.
Post Tinted Moisturizer I will warm up the face with a bronzer. I tend to use something that has a bit of a sheen to it. My go to bronzers are the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer and the Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Capri Coast. Both are super soft and blend so well. The Physicians Formula Butter bronzer offers the slightest sheen to the skin, were as the Becca Sunlit Bronzer has a slightly more obvious shimmer to it. Both are stunning on.
There are a few options when it comes to highlight to complete this look. Most recently I have been using the Estee Lauder Heat wave and basically applying it lightly all over the skin, For more of an all over glow. If I'm looking for a more concentrated highlight I have been reaching for the Lancome Custom Highlight Drops in Champagne Glow. Bonus, you can mix these into your tinted moisturizer for a super glowing complexion!
Last but not least, I go in with a setting spray to finish off the look. I tend to use Mac Fix Plus. It is actually more of a moisturizer than anything but it does help in setting any powdered products and improves the longevity of the makeup. I have been loving the new Fix + Goldlite and Pinklite. The formula is the same as the original, but both are infused with pearlescent pears for added highlight and the ultimate glow.
